It's been such a long and evolving process that I sit back and giggle how it use to be...the idea started back in the day when I was tired of looking like everyone else and was too broke to afford name brand apparell. A man of style can not be tamed and I wanted individuality, so I bought a bunch of blank shirts shirts, a can of spray paint, masking tape to make stencils and started shooting shirts that were on of a kind. Some of those shirts are still floating around salvation armies all over the coast. Mass prodution started with an airbrush, some paints, and a heart determined to succed all inside of a closet the size of a twin size bed. Feeling on top of the world thinking I had a bombproof system. When in actuality I'd spend all day in that cramped quarter with only a couple shirts to show for my labor of love. But even back then, quality was #1 priority. Making a strong effort in to make sure the paints would stay on the shirts and not wash off. Nothing gets me more stoked than seeing a shirt three years old washed hundreds of times, the colors all faded but the image is still crisp. . . . TRUE STORY!!!
Skip ahead many moons and we're light years more advanced than that ancient system we thought was so effective! Investing in proffessional screen printing equipment, increased the quality of our products and speeded up production to take charge of the demand that soon developed. Free Delivery outgrew that closet and we to moved on. Now, all production takes place round hear Free Delivery headquarters.
I realize we'll never be the largest apparel company in BMX and that's has never been our state of mind. Videos and establishing a team isn't our main concern. It's establishing solid relationships with customers, providing incredible products to get people stoked, and staying ahead when it comes to style. Since we print eveything ourselves, there is no end to what we can get done on an article of clothing. We aren't relying on some shady middle-man, all of our shirts are quality prints and quality garments that will last for years and years. Your grandkids will be sportin' that shirt you bought.
I refer to myself as WE a lot. . . . There's a long line of people that have encouraged and supported me, believed in me when I had a hard time believing in myself, and have given me a chance that was never desirved. Those roles are the people who have set the stage of what Free Delivery is and will ever become.
